# How to view the availability calendar

**For:** Manager
**You'll need:** Nothing.

The availability calendar overlays everyone's availability and unavailability blocks on one calendar — the same view modes as the {doc}`/plan-schedules/shift-calendar/index`.

## Open it

1. Go to **Planning → Availability** in the left sidebar.

The calendar loads with your last-used view, filters, and toggles.

## Verify it worked

You see a calendar with availability blocks (one block per person per period) overlaid on the date grid.
