# How to open a shift in a new tab

**For:** Manager
**You'll need:** A shift on the calendar.

Open the shift edit form in a new browser tab — useful when comparing two shifts or keeping the calendar visible.

## Modifier-click the shift

1. Hold **'Ctrl'** (Windows / Linux) or **'Cmd'** (Mac).
2. Click the shift block.

The edit form opens in a new browser tab; the calendar stays where it was.

## Verify it worked

A new tab opens with the shift edit page.
