# How to read the shift hover tooltip

**For:** Manager
**You'll need:** A shift on the calendar.

Hovering a shift block opens a tooltip with assignment details and any validation issues — skill gaps, unavailability, or labor-law warnings.

## Hover the shift

1. Move your mouse over the shift block (no click).
2. The tooltip appears after a brief pause.

## What the tooltip shows

- The shift's position, location, area, start, and end.
- The list of assigned people.
- Any validation issues, grouped by issue type — for example "Maria K. is missing the Barista skill" or "Aleksei P. has only 8h between shifts (rule: 11h)".

## Verify it worked

The tooltip floats above the shift; moving the mouse away closes it.
