# How to read the shift status badge

**For:** Manager
**You'll need:** Nothing.

Each row in the shift list ends with a colour-coded chip showing where the shift sits in its lifecycle.

## What the colours mean

- **'Draft'** — visible to managers only. Workers don't see it on their schedule yet.
- **'Published'** — visible to assigned workers; published shifts show on their personal schedule and in notifications.
- **'Cancelled'** — kept for record but no longer expected to happen.
