# Remove a required skill

**For:** Manager | Admin
**You'll need:** A skill linked to the position.

You'll remove a skill from the position's required list. People without that skill will no longer be blocked from working it.

## Remove the skill

1. Go to **Company → Positions** in the left sidebar.
2. Open the position.
3. Expand the **'Required skills'** section.
4. Click the skill.
5. Click **'Delete'**.
6. In the **'Remove required skill?'** dialog, confirm.

## Verify it worked

The skill no longer appears in the **'Required skills'** section.
