# I can't see my shift

**For:** Manager | Shift worker
**You'll need:** Nothing.

The shift exists somewhere — but the calendar isn't showing it to you. Nine times out of ten, a filter is hiding it, you're looking at the wrong day in the wrong timezone, or the shift hasn't been published yet.

## Check five possibilities

1. **A sidebar filter is hiding it.** Open the **'Filter'** panel in the left sidebar. If any of **'Location'**, **'Area'**, **'Position'**, **'Person'**, or **'Status'** has a value selected, only matching shifts show. Click **'Clear all filters'** and look again.
2. **You're looking at the wrong day because of timezones.** {{ app_name }} can render shifts in either the location's timezone or yours. Open the world clock menu (the clock icon in the calendar toolbar) and switch between **'Location timezone'** and **'My timezone'**. A shift that looks like Tuesday in one mode can sit on Monday night in the other.
3. **The shift is still in DRAFT.** Shift workers don't see DRAFT shifts. Ask the planner to publish them (see {doc}`/plan-schedules/publish-horizon/publish-up-to-a-cutoff`), or, if you're the planner, check the **'Status'** filter in the sidebar — make sure **'Draft'** is included.
4. **You're scoped to the wrong location.** If your **'Location'** filter is set to one site, shifts at other locations are hidden. Clear the filter or pick the right location from the dropdown.
5. **You're not the assignee.** A shift exists, but if you're not assigned to it and your view is filtered to **'Person: Me'**, it won't show. Clear the **'Person'** filter.
