# How to edit a schedule template

**For:** Manager
**You'll need:** A schedule template.

Edit the template's name or type. To change the shifts inside, use the {doc}`/plan-schedules/template-calendar/index`.

## Edit the template

1. Open the template from the list.
2. Click **'Edit'**.
3. Change the **'Name'** or **'Type'**.
4. Click **'Save'**.

## Verify it worked

The list shows the new name / type.
