# How to switch how people are shown on shifts

**For:** Manager
**You'll need:** Nothing.

Choose between compact avatars and full name lists for the people shown on each shift block.

## Open the person-display menu

1. In the toolbar, click the **'Person display'** button.

## Pick a mode

1. Choose **'Avatars'** to see initials in coloured circles — compact, fits more shifts on screen.
2. Choose **'Name list'** to see full names — easier to scan when you have few people per shift.

The calendar redraws and your choice is remembered for next time.

## Verify it worked

Shift blocks now show people in the chosen format.
