# Auto-seed holidays from country

**For:** Admin
**You'll need:** Locations with country and (where relevant) state set.

You'll populate statutory holidays for your company or for a single location, based on its country and state. Re-running the seed is safe — manually edited rows are skipped.

## Seed for a single location

1. Go to **Company → Locations** in the left sidebar.
2. Open the location.
3. Click **'Seed holidays'** in the **'Holidays'** section.
4. Confirm in the dialog.

{{ app_name }} fetches the statutory holidays for the location's country and state and creates rows tagged **'Auto'**.

## Seed for the whole company

1. Go to **Company → Holidays** in the left sidebar.
2. Click **'Seed all'** in the top-right.
3. Confirm in the dialog.

{{ app_name }} runs the seed for every location in your company.

Re-running the seed skips rows you have manually edited. Auto rows you haven't touched are refreshed; **'Manual'** rows are left alone.

## Verify it worked

New rows appear at **Company → Holidays** with an **'Auto'** badge. Filter by **'Source: Auto'** to see them grouped.
