# Delete a position

**For:** Manager | Admin
**You'll need:** A position not used by any shift or MLP entry.

You'll remove a position from your company.

## Delete the position

1. Go to **Company → Positions** in the left sidebar.
2. Open the position.
3. Click **'Delete'**.
4. In the **'Delete position?'** dialog, click **'Delete position'**.

## Verify it worked

The position no longer appears at **Company → Positions**.

## When you can't delete

You can't delete a position that's referenced by a shift or an MLP entry. Reassign or delete those shifts and MLP entries first, then try again.
