# How to verify your email

**For:** Manager | Shift worker | Admin
**You'll need:** Access to the inbox of the email you signed up with.

You'll confirm your email so {{ app_name }} can activate your account and any pending memberships.

## Open the confirmation link

1. Open the email from {{ app_name }} with the subject line about confirming your address.
2. Click **'Confirm email'**.

## Verify it worked

The browser opens and signs you in. Your email address shows a "verified" badge under {doc}`manage-email-addresses`.

If the link expired, log in and request a new one from **Account → Email addresses → 'Re-send verification'**.
