# The app is slow or unresponsive

**For:** Manager | Shift worker | Admin
**You'll need:** Nothing.

{{ app_name }} feels sluggish, the calendar takes ages to draw, or a click does nothing for several seconds.

## Check four possibilities

1. **Refresh the browser tab.** Long-running tabs accumulate state. A hard refresh (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R) usually fixes it.
2. **Clear your filters.** Heavy filter combinations on a large date range force the server to scan more data. Click **'Clear all filters'** and shrink the visible range.
3. **Switch to a lighter view.** Roster timeline views (**'Roster week timeline'**, **'Roster month'**) render every person row and every shift block. **'Month grid'** (`dayGridMonth`) is much lighter. Use the calendar view dropdown to switch.
4. **Check your connection.** A flaky network looks like a slow app. Try another site; if everything's slow, the problem is upstream.
