# I can't see my shift

**For:** Manager | Shift worker
**You'll need:** Nothing.

The shift exists somewhere — but the calendar isn't showing it to you. Nine times out of ten, a filter is hiding it, you're looking at the wrong day in the wrong timezone, or the shift hasn't been published yet.

## Check five possibilities

:::{tab-item} Web
:sync: web

1. **A filter is hiding it.** Open the **'Filter'** panel. If any of **'Location'**, **'Area'**, **'Position'**, **'Person'**, or **'Status'** has a value selected, only matching shifts show. Click **'Clear'** and look again.
2. **You're looking at the wrong day because of timezones.** {{ app_name }} can render shifts in either the location's timezone or yours. Open the world clock menu (the clock icon in the calendar toolbar) and switch between **'Location timezone'** and **'My timezone'**. A shift that looks like Tuesday in one mode can sit on Monday night in the other.
3. **The shift is still in DRAFT.** Shift workers don't see DRAFT shifts. Ask the planner to publish them (see {doc}`/plan-schedules/publish-horizon/publish-up-to-a-cutoff`), or, if you're the planner, check the **'Status'** filter in the sidebar — make sure **'Draft'** is included.
4. **You're scoped to the wrong location.** If your **'Location'** filter is set to one site, shifts at other locations are hidden. Clear the filter or pick the right location from the dropdown.
5. **You're not the assignee.** A shift exists, but if you're not assigned to it and your view is filtered to **'Person: Me'**, it won't show. Clear the **'Person'** filter.

:::{tab-item} Mobile app
:sync: mobile

1. **The shift has already finished.** Tap **Shifts** in the bottom bar. That list is deliberately forward-looking — it shows your next shift plus everything that hasn't ended yet, and nothing else. A shift that is already over lives under **More → Timesheets**.
2. **You're looking at saved data.** If the list shows **'Offline — showing saved data'** or **'Showing data from …'**, the app is rendering its last sync, not what's on the server. Pull the list down to refresh once you have a connection.
3. **The shift is still a draft.** The app never receives draft shifts for a shift worker, so there is no filter to flip — ask the planner to publish it (see {doc}`/plan-schedules/publish-horizon/publish-up-to-a-cutoff`).
4. **It's a colleague's shift, not yours.** The **Shifts** tab is your own schedule only. Tap the people icon in the top bar to open **Team schedule**, which covers the next 30 days for the people you're allowed to see. Anything further out than that isn't in the app — use the web calendar.
5. **A filter on Team schedule is hiding it.** On **Team schedule**, tap **Filter** and check **Location**, **Area**, **Position** and **Person**. If you see **'No team shifts match this filter'**, something is selected. The filter only ever offers values that appear in those 30 days, so a shift outside the window can't be filtered back into view.

Times in the app are always shown in the shift's location timezone — there is no "my timezone" switch as on the web, so a late-night shift can look like a different day than you expect if the location is in another zone.
