How to unsubmit a time entry#

For: Manager You’ll need: A time entry with status ‚Submitted‘ in an open company period.

You’ll roll a single row back from ‚Submitted‘ to ‚Published‘ when you need to fix the times or you submitted by mistake. Unsubmitting reverses every accrual that submit triggered.

Unsubmit the row#

  1. In the left sidebar, go to Planning → Management → Timesheet.

  2. Find the row you want to unsubmit.

  3. Click ‚Unsubmit‘ on the row.

What unsubmit does#

  • The status flips back to ‚Published‘.

  • Leave accruals tied to the row are reversed — see Leave requests.

  • Time-compensation accruals tied to the row are reversed — see Time compensation.

  • The clock-in and clock-out are cleared, so you can re-enter the right times before re-submitting.

Warnung

Clearing the clock times is intentional — it forces you to re-confirm them before the row is re-submitted. If you only want to change one minute, edit the row first (How to edit clock-in and clock-out times), then unsubmit and re-submit.

Verify it worked#

The row’s status badge reads ‚Published‘, the clock-in and clock-out cells are empty, and the leave or time-compensation balance is back to its pre-submit value.

Locked periods#

If the company period is closed, the row shows a „locked“ banner and Shiftavo refuses to unsubmit. See What a locked period looks like on the timesheet.
