Why „My availability“ hides recurring rules: Mode A#

If your account is set up as ‚always available‘ (Mode A), the recurring availability section is hidden and an info banner explains why.
What Mode A means#
In Mode A, your manager schedules you whenever — they don’t need a recurring availability pattern from you, because you’re treated as available unless you say otherwise (with a one-time unavailability or a leave request).
What you can still do#
Add a one-time ‚Unavailable‘ block for a day off the books.
File a leave request for vacation, sick, or other formal time off.
Switching modes#
The mode is set by your manager on your person settings — see Personal settings. If you’d like to switch to ‚Set my availability‘ (Mode B), ask them.
