How to sign in the tablet#
For: Owner / Admin (or anyone setting up the tablet on-site) You’ll need: The email and password from How to add a kiosk device, the physical tablet, and a network connection.
You’ll open Shiftavo on the tablet in its browser, sign in with the kiosk credentials, and leave the terminal page running.
Sign in#
On the tablet’s browser, open
https://app.{{ app_name|lower }}.com/kiosk/terminal/(replace with your shard URL).The browser is redirected to the sign-in page. Enter the email and password from the kiosk-device success page.
Sign in.
The tablet lands on the terminal page — a grid of cards, one per employee scheduled today at this location.
Pin the page#
How you make the page persist depends on the tablet:
iPad / Android tablet — use the browser’s full-screen or „kiosk mode“ so staff can’t navigate away. Most browsers have a setting under ‚Add to home screen‘ or ‚Kiosk mode‘.
Set a long screen timeout so the tablet doesn’t lock itself between punches.
Disable auto-update prompts that would interrupt the page.
Verify it worked#
The grid shows the names of the people scheduled at this location today.
After a few minutes, the device’s ‚Last seen‘ column in Planning → Kiosks turns green.
Tipp
The tablet stays signed in across reboots as long as the browser keeps its cookies. If you clear the browser data, you’ll need to sign in again — using the same email and password.
