Always-available mode#
For: Shift worker You’ll need: Nothing.
If you’re available for any shift your manager schedules, you don’t have to enter availability blocks. Shiftavo calls this always-available mode. You’ll see an info banner on ‚My availability‘ and the ‚Recurring‘ section will be hidden.
When to use always-available mode#
Leave it on if your manager assigns shifts directly and you don’t need Shiftavo to check your availability before scheduling you.
Switch to availability mode#
If you’d rather have Shiftavo only schedule you when an availability block says you’re free:
Open the account dropdown (top-right) and click ‚Settings‘.
Find the ‚Availability mode‘ setting.
Tick the ‚Set availability‘ checkbox.
Click ‚Save‘.
The ‚Recurring‘ section appears on ‚My availability‘ and the system starts checking your blocks before assigning shifts.

The info banner on ‚My availability‘ is gone and the ‚Recurring‘ section is visible.
