How to add a manual time-compensation adjustment#
For: Admin You’ll need: The person’s name, the date the adjustment applies to, and the signed delta in hours.
You’ll post a manual entry to a person’s time-compensation ledger — a one-off correction, a goodwill credit, or a deduction agreed with the worker. The entry is tagged MANUAL_ADJUSTMENT so it’s distinguishable from auto-accruals on every report.
Open the form#
In the left sidebar, go to Company → Time compensation.
Click ‘Add adjustment’ in the top-right.
Fill in the adjustment#
Choose the person from the ‘Member’ dropdown.
Set the ‘Date’ field — the date the adjustment applies to (typically the date the underlying event happened, not today).
Enter the signed value in the ‘Delta hours’ field. Positive credits the balance, negative debits it. Use a leading minus for debits, for example
-1.5.Type a short explanation in the ‘Note’ field — payroll and the worker will see it on the row.
Click ‘Save’.
Verify it worked#
You’re returned to the ledger. The new row appears at the top with ‘Manual adjustment’ as its source and your note visible. The person’s running balance updates immediately.
Tip
A manual adjustment can always be reversed by posting another adjustment with the opposite sign and a note explaining why. Never delete an audit row.
