I was signed out#

For: Manager | Shift worker | Admin You’ll need: Your email and password.

You came back to Shiftavo and landed on the login screen instead of the calendar. Usually that’s a routine session refresh that didn’t quite catch — sign back in and you’re done. Sometimes it means your account or company has been suspended.

What’s going on#

Shiftavo keeps you signed in with a short-lived access token and a longer-lived refresh token. While you’re using the app the system quietly mints new access tokens behind the scenes — you don’t see anything. If you’re idle for too long the system signs you back in automatically; sometimes that fails (slow network, a tab that’s been open for days, a deploy in the middle) and you’ll see the login screen.

Check three possibilities#

  1. Just sign back in. Go to the login page and enter your email and password. See How to log in. This handles the common case where the refresh quietly failed.

  2. Your company is suspended or canceled. If signing in succeeds at the password step but kicks you straight back out, the tenant status is the problem — billing lapsed, the trial ended, or an admin canceled the account. Ask your account owner to check the account dropdown → ‘Account’‘Manage companies’, or email support@shiftavo.com.

  3. You’re signed in to the wrong company. If you belong to more than one company in Shiftavo, signing in lands you in your default. Switch companies from the company name badge in the header (top-right).

  1. Just sign back in — and give it a moment. Tap Sign in. The app hands you to your device’s browser to enter your email and password; there are no password fields inside the app itself, which is why the browser sheet appears. If you see ‘Signing in…’ or ‘Starting up…’ under the spinner, the app is still restoring your session and the servers are waking up — a first launch of the day can take a while. “You’re offline — using your saved session” means you’re still signed in and the app will catch up when the connection returns; don’t sign out to fix that one.

  2. Your company is suspended or canceled. If the login screen shows “Your organization’s account is not active. Please contact your administrator.”, the company status is the problem — billing lapsed, the trial ended, or an admin canceled the account. Ask your account owner to check the account dropdown → ‘Account’‘Manage companies’ on the web, or email support@shiftavo.com.

  3. You’re signed in to the wrong company. Tap Settings in the bottom bar, then Organization, pick the right one and confirm with Switch. The app signs you into that company and replaces the data it has cached; it needs a connection to do it (“You’re offline — switching companies needs a connection.”).

If a message says ‘Your session has expired. Please sign in again.’ mid-use, that’s the same routine failure — tap Sign in and carry on.
