How to change your language, region, and timezone#

For: Manager | Shift worker | Admin You’ll need: Nothing.

You’ll set the language Shiftavo talks to you in, the regional formats it uses for dates, times, and numbers, and the timezone your schedule is shown in.

Open your settings#

  1. Open the account dropdown (top-right) and click ‘Settings’.

  2. Find the ‘Language and region’ section.

Set your language#

  1. Open the ‘Language’ dropdown.

  2. Choose your language.

The new language is activated on every request after you save.

Set your region#

  1. Open the ‘Region’ dropdown.

  2. Choose your region (for example ‘Switzerland’, ‘Germany’, ‘United States’).

Region drives the format of dates (09.05.2026 vs 5/9/2026), times (24-hour vs AM/PM), and numbers (1.234,56 vs 1,234.56).

Set your timezone#

  1. Open the ‘Timezone’ dropdown.

  2. Choose your timezone (for example ‘Europe/Zurich’).

Shift times, time entries, and reports are displayed in this timezone.

Save#

Click ‘Save’.

Verify it worked#

Reload the page. The interface should be in the new language. The header date and any times on the schedule should match the chosen region’s format and timezone.
