Edit a person#
For: Manager | Admin You’ll need: A person to edit.
You’ll change a person’s name, phone numbers, address, locations, employment, work-rule override, or notes.
Open the person#
Go to Company → People in the header.
Click the row for the person.
Tap More in the bottom bar.
Tap ‘Manager’, then ‘People’.
Tap the person’s row.
Tap ‘Edit’ in the top bar.
Make your changes#
Update any of the fields.
Click ‘Save’.
Update ‘First name’, ‘Last name’, the address fields (‘Street’, ‘ZIP’, ‘City’), ‘Work phone’, ‘Private phone’, ‘Group’, ‘Locations’ or ‘Hourly rate’.
Tap ‘Save’ in the top bar.
The mobile form covers those fields only. Employment type, hire date, work-rule override, waived breaks, notes and skills stay on the web.
A person carries two phone numbers — ‘Work phone’ and ‘Private phone’ — so a manager reaching out about a shift doesn’t have to use someone’s personal number.
Note
The email address is read-only after the person is created. To change someone’s email, ask them to update it in their own account settings.
Record a termination date#
There’s no button called “Offboard” — you offboard someone by giving them a termination date on the person form. This is different from Deactivate a person: deactivating just stops sign-in and scheduling, while a termination date settles what the company still owes them.
Go to Company → People in the header and click the person’s row.
Set ‘Termination date’ to their last working day.
Click ‘Save’.
Saving the date is what triggers the settlement, and it runs once — on the change from no termination date to having one. Two things happen together:
Leave accrual freezes. The person stops earning new leave from that point.
Time-compensation credit is paid out. If the company runs night-work time compensation and the person has a balance, it’s settled as a termination payout. Nothing is written when the balance is zero or the feature isn’t in use for their work rule.
Editing the date afterwards updates the record but does not re-run the settlement.
Warning
Correcting a wrong termination date changes the stored date but won’t undo a payout that has already been written — check the leave ledger before you fix it up. See Leave transactions.
The termination date is on the web person form only — the mobile app doesn’t offer it.
Verify it worked#
A toast confirms the save and the row in the people list reflects your changes.
