How to edit clock-in and clock-out times#
For: Manager You’ll need: A finished shift on the timesheet whose time entry hasn’t been approved yet.
You’ll fix the actual clock-in or clock-out time on a single row when the recorded value is wrong or missing.
Fix the times#
In the header, go to Planning → Management → Timesheet.
Find the row you want to fix. Use the filters if the list is long — see How to view and filter the timesheet.
Click the row to open the edit page.
In the ‘Clock in’ field, set the actual start time.
In the ‘Clock out’ field, set the actual end time.
Click ‘Save’.
The app corrects your own entries only. A manager fixing someone else’s clock times has to do it on the web.
Tap More in the bottom bar, then ‘Timesheets’.
Tap the row you want to fix — any row that isn’t ‘Approved’ yet.
Tap ‘Correct times’.
Tap ‘Clock in’ and pick the actual start time, then ‘Clock out’ and pick the actual end time. Times are shown in the shift location’s own timezone, and neither can be in the future.
Type why the recorded times are wrong — the reason is required.
Tap ‘Save correction’.
Correcting needs a connection; offline the action isn’t offered.
Tip
Leave a field empty if the person didn’t clock in (or out). When you confirm the row, Shiftavo fills the missing side from the scheduled time.
Warning
Editing the times clears any existing confirmation — the row drops back to ‘Published’ and must be confirmed again before it can be approved. This keeps the sign-off honest. See How confirmation and approval work.
Verify it worked#
You’re returned to the timesheet, the row shows the new times, and the attendance flag updates accordingly.
Locked rows#
If the row has been approved, the form is read-only and saving shows a “locked” banner instead. Unapprove it first — see What a locked row looks like on the timesheet for how to unlock a row.
