How to track your own offers and responses#
For: Manager | Shift worker | Admin You’ll need: The marketplace turned on for your company.
The marketplace has three views, and two of them are about you: what you’ve posted, and what you’ve put your hand up for. Knowing which is which saves a lot of hunting.
The three views#
Open Planning → ‘Shift marketplace’ and use the buttons at the top:
‘Overview’ — live offers from other people that you’re eligible to take. This is where you go to find work.
‘My offers’ — the shifts you posted, with their current status. This is where you go to see whether your give-away or swap found a taker.
‘My responses’ — the offers you responded to, with the status of each response. This is where you go to see whether you got the shift.
Each view has its own filters and its own set of columns, so you can tune them independently.
Tap More in the bottom bar.
Tap ‘Shift marketplace’.
Use the three segments across the top:
‘Overview’ — live offers you’re eligible to take, including manager-posted open shifts. Empty reads ‘No offers available to respond to.’
‘My offers’ — the give-aways and swaps you posted. Empty reads ‘You have no offers yet.’
‘My responses’ — the offers you responded to. Empty reads ‘You have no responses yet.’
Every row carries a status badge; tap one to open the offer in full. Pull down to refresh — one pull refreshes all three segments, because responding on one changes the others.
Note
‘My offers’ lists give-aways and swaps only. Open shifts posted by managers aren’t your offers even if you posted them on the company’s behalf — find those in ‘Manage marketplace’. See How to review the marketplace queue.
Read the statuses#
‘My offers’ shows the offer’s status: ‘Open’, ‘Pending approval’, ‘Completed’, ‘Rejected’, ‘Withdrawn’, or ‘Expired’ (older offers once marked ‘Auto-rejected’ show as ‘Expired’ too). On the web the list only keeps offers that are still live — once one is completed, rejected, withdrawn, or expired, it drops off.
‘My responses’ shows your response status, which is a different thing:
‘Pending’ — submitted, no decision yet.
‘Selected’ — you got the shift.
‘Not selected’ — somebody else did, or the offer was rejected, withdrawn, or closed before anyone picked you.
‘Withdrawn’ — you pulled out.
If a manager deletes the assignment you offered in return, your pending response is withdrawn and its history remains. The original offer stays available; a response that was already decided keeps its recorded outcome.
If the shift itself is deleted, its live offer is withdrawn and everyone who responded is told. The offer stays on record, and its page still shows the shift as it was when the offer was posted. If you still had that page open and click ‘Claim shift’ or ‘Offer a swap’, you land back on the offer’s page with a message that it isn’t accepting responses.
Sort and filter#
All three views run soonest first — the shift starting next is at the top. Change it by clicking a column header; click the same header again to flip the direction. Add filters from the filter icon in the toolbar — ‘Start from’, ‘Start until’, ‘Status’, ‘Type’, ‘Location’, ‘Position’ — one property at a time, each ending in ‘Apply’; they show as chips below the toolbar. ‘Manage columns’ adds fields like ‘Spots’, ‘Posted by’, or ‘Posted on’.
Tap ‘Filter’ at the top right. The filter applies to whichever segment you’re on.
Under ‘Scope’, tick the ‘Type’ values you want to see — ‘Open shift’, ‘Give away’, ‘1:1 swap’.
Still under ‘Scope’, ‘Status’ narrows the ‘My responses’ segment by your own response status: ‘Pending’, ‘Selected’, ‘Not selected’, ‘Withdrawn’.
Under ‘Options’, set ‘Sorting’ to ‘Oldest first’ or ‘Newest first’ — both order by shift start.
Apply.
There’s no date-range, location, or position filter on mobile, and no column chooser — the row always shows the shift, its day and time, and the status badge. Fields like ‘Posted by’, ‘Posted on’, ‘Spots’, and ‘Deadline’ are on the offer itself, one tap in.
Verify it worked#
Switch to ‘My responses’ after responding to an offer. Your response is on the list with status ‘Pending’, and the row links back to the offer.
