How to submit your availability#

For: Shift worker You’ll need: Availability mode turned on. See Always-available mode.

Tell your manager when you can work — either as a recurring pattern (e.g. every Monday morning), a one-off slot, or a block when you’re not available.

Add a recurring availability block#

  1. In the header, open Planning and click ‘My availability’.

  2. In the ‘Recurring’ section, click ‘Add recurring availability’.

  3. Fill in the days, times, and how often it repeats.

  4. Click ‘Save’.

  1. Tap More → ‘Availability’.

  2. Tap +. An ‘Add availability’ sheet asks what kind you’re adding.

  3. Choose ‘Recurring’ — “These are your regular work times.”

  4. On the ‘Add recurring availability’ form, tap ‘Start’ and ‘End’ to set the day and times.

  5. Turn on ‘Repeat availability’ and set the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly), how often it repeats, which days, and when it ends.

  6. (Optional) Add a note.

  7. Tap ‘Save’ (top-right).

Add a one-time availability block#

  1. On ‘My availability’, in the ‘One-time’ section, click ‘Add one-time availability’.

  2. Pick the date and start / end times.

  3. Click ‘Save’.

  1. Tap More → ‘Availability’, then +.

  2. Choose ‘One-time’ — for a date outside your regular schedule.

  3. On the ‘Add one-time availability’ form, tap ‘Start’ and ‘End’ to set the date and times.

  4. Tap ‘Save’ (top-right).

Add an unavailable block#

  1. On ‘My availability’, in the ‘Unavailable’ section, click ‘Add unavailability’.

  2. Pick the date(s) and time range.

  3. Click ‘Save’.

  1. Tap More → ‘Availability’, then +.

  2. Choose ‘Unavailable’.

  3. On the ‘Add unavailability’ form, leave ‘Unavailability type’ on ‘Unavailable’ to simply block scheduling. Picking a leave type instead (Vacation, Sick, …) creates a leave request that needs approval — see How to request time off.

  4. Tap ‘Start’ and ‘End’ to set the dates and times.

  5. Tap ‘Save’ (top-right).

Note

On mobile, tap a block to open its detail, then ‘Edit’ (top-right) to change it. A block’s kind is fixed once it exists — the edit form shows it as a read-only badge — so to change the kind, delete the block and add the other kind. ‘Delete’ sits at the bottom of the edit form.

For the full form reference — including the ‘This / Following / All’ scope chooser when you edit recurring blocks — see Availability.

Verify it worked#

The new block appears in the matching section of the ‘Overview’ tab on ‘My availability’.
