How to view the leave ledger#
For: Manager | Admin You’ll need: Nothing.
You’ll find the read-only ledger of every leave-balance change and learn how to read its signed amounts.
Open the ledger#
In the left sidebar, go to Company → Leave transactions.
The list shows one row per balance change, newest first by default. Each row has a person, leave policy, transaction type, signed hours, source (the request, accrual run, or period close that posted it), and a timestamp.
Read the transaction types#

Filter and sort#
Use the filters above the table to narrow by person, leave policy, type, or date range.
Click any column header to sort.
When you’re investigating “why is Maria’s balance off?”, filter to her name and one policy — the running total should reconstruct itself row by row.
Verify it worked#
The signed-hours column adds up. The most recent row matches whatever last happened — an approval, a period close, a revoke. The source link (request, period, time entry) opens the originating record so you can see the cause without leaving the ledger.
Tip
The ledger is the source of truth for balances shown elsewhere — on the request form, on the worker’s own page, in payroll exports. If something there looks wrong, start here.
