How to set your calendar preferences#
For: Manager | Shift worker | Admin You’ll need: Nothing.
You’ll set how the schedule calendar looks and behaves for you — which day the week starts on, how assignment names are rendered, the visible hour range, and how strict the validation messages are.
Open your settings#
Open the account dropdown (top-right) and click ‘Settings’.
Find the ‘Calendar preferences’ section.
Pick the first day of the week#
Open the ‘First day of week’ dropdown.
Choose the day the schedule grid should start on (typically ‘Monday’ in DACH, ‘Sunday’ in the US).
Choose how assignment names are rendered#
Open the ‘Assignment person rendering’ dropdown.
Choose:
‘Avatar’ — show the person’s avatar (compact, good for dense schedules).
‘Name list’ — show first and last names (better for printing or low-density views).
Set the world-clock default#
Open the ‘World clock default’ dropdown.
Choose the timezone shown by default in the world clock widget.
Set the visible hour range#
The schedule grid only renders the hours you actually work in. Two fields control the range:
In the ‘Slot min time’ field, enter the earliest hour to show (for example ‘06:00’).
In the ‘Slot max time’ field, enter the latest hour to show (for example ‘22:00’).
Choose validation strictness#
Validation messages tell you when something violates a work rule, break rule, or assignment constraint. Two settings control how loud they are:
In the ‘Tooltip validation level’ dropdown, choose what shows up on hover (errors only, errors + warnings, or everything).
In the ‘Shift validation level’ dropdown, choose what blocks saving (errors only, errors + warnings, or everything).
Save#
Click ‘Save’.
Verify it worked#
Open the schedule. The grid starts on the day you picked, only the chosen hour range is visible, and assignments show as avatars or names per your choice.
