The ‘Publish’ button doesn’t do anything

The ‘Publish’ button doesn’t do anything#

For: Manager You’ll need: Nothing.

You hit ‘Publish’ on the publish horizon page and either nothing happened, or the success banner said “0 shifts published”. Shiftavo only publishes DRAFT shifts inside your range and matching your filter — if there are none, the action is a no-op.

Check three possibilities#

  1. The shifts are already published. A shift that’s in ‘Published’ state stays published; the button skips it. Filter the calendar to ‘Status: Draft’ and confirm there’s actually anything to publish.

  2. There are no DRAFT shifts in the cutoff range. The publish horizon takes a cutoff datetime — every DRAFT shift that ends on or before that cutoff gets published. If your cutoff is in the past, or the only DRAFTs are after it, the button publishes nothing. Move the cutoff forward.

  3. The location filter rules them out. The publish form has an optional location filter. If it’s set to a site with no DRAFT shifts in range, the action is empty. Clear the filter or switch the location.
