Overtime and compliance#
For: Manager | Admin You’ll need: Permission to view reports (your manager will know).
This report shows weekly overtime hours and any work-rule violations per employee — daily-hours caps, rest-period gaps, missed breaks, and the rest of the surfaces from Shiftavo’s rules engine. Use it to keep the schedule defensible.
Open the report#
In the header, open the Reports dropdown.
Under Workforce, click ‘Overtime / Compliance’.
Tap More in the bottom bar.
Tap ‘Manager’.
Tap ‘Labour cost and compliance’.
Switch to the ‘Compliance’ tab.
Each row is one person for one week, showing the overtime hours and a green ‘Compliant’ or red ‘Exceeded’ badge. The mobile view gives you the compliant/exceeded verdict, not the itemised list of breached rules — open the web report for that, and for the export. If there’s nothing in the window you picked, the tab reads ‘No data for this period.’
Filter the data#
In the ‘Start date’ and ‘End date’ fields, set the date range.
(Optional) Open the ‘Location’ dropdown and pick one or more locations.
(Optional) Open the ‘Person’ dropdown and pick one or more people.
Click ‘Apply filters’.
To start over, click ‘Clear’.
Tap the filter icon in the top right.
Under ‘Scope’, tap ‘Period’ and pick a preset — ‘Today’, ‘This week’, ‘Last week’, ‘This month’ (the default), ‘Last month’, ‘Last 30 days’, ‘Last 3 months’, ‘This year’, ‘Last year’ or ‘YTD’.
(Optional) Tap ‘Location’ and tick the locations you want.
Tap ‘Done’.
The filter is shared with the ‘Labour cost’ tab, so both tabs always cover the same window. There’s no person filter and no free-form date fields on mobile — filter by person on the web report.

Each row is one employee for one week. ‘Overtime’ shows the hours above their contracted week; ‘Violations’ lists the rules that were breached, if any. A clean row has zero overtime and an empty violations cell.
