How to resize a shift#
For: Manager You’ll need: A shift on a timeline view.
Drag the edge of a shift block to extend or shrink it.
Drag the edge#
Hover over the end edge of a shift block — the bottom edge, or the right edge in people views. The cursor changes to a resize handle.
Click, hold, and drag to the new end time.
Release the mouse.
The shift’s duration updates; the start stays fixed. On a published shift, new times work as they do for a move — see How to move a shift.
Verify it worked#
The shift block grows or shrinks to the new length.
Tip
Holding ‘Alt’ (‘Option’ on macOS) as you release a resize on a multi-assignment shift splits one person off into a separate shift — see How to split a shift.
