How to read the coverage severity tooltip#
For: Manager You’ll need: Nothing.
A coverage cell carries up to three separate tooltips, depending on which part of the cell you hover.
The three tooltips#
The bar — hovering the colored bar lists the people assigned in that hour.
The count — hovering the assigned/needed count lists the people assigned, and, where a demand forecast sets the needed number, the arithmetic behind it.
The warning triangle — hovering the triangle lists the hour’s validation messages. The triangle renders only when messages exist, and its tooltip never shows the headcount gap — the bar and the count already cover that.
The validation tooltip groups its lines under ‘Shift validation:’ and ‘Assignment validation:’ — for example:
10:00–14:00
Shift validation:
⚠ 1 skill coverage requirement not met
– Shaking: need 2 more
Assignment validation:
⚠ George: 1 working-time limit exceeded
– Exceeds daily limit (10.0h work / 8.0h max allowed)
Verify it worked#
Moving the mouse off the cell closes the tooltip.
