How to update your personal settings#
For: Shift worker You’ll need: Nothing.
Pick the language you read Shiftavo in, the region that drives date and number formats, the first day of your week, and the time range your calendars show.
Open your settings#
In the top-right, open the account dropdown.
Click ‘Settings’.
Tap Settings in the bottom bar.
The preferences live under the ‘Preferences’ heading.
What you can change#
Language — the language Shiftavo is shown in.
Region — drives date, time, and number formats.
Time zone — used for every time you see in the app.
First day of week — Monday or Sunday on calendars.
Slot times — the earliest and latest time the calendar shows.
Assignment display — show team members as avatars or as a name list.
Click ‘Save’. The next page you load uses the new language, region, and calendar settings.
Tap a row under ‘Preferences’ and pick a value — there’s no ‘Save’ button; the choice applies as soon as you make it.
‘Appearance’ — ‘System’, ‘Light’, or ‘Dark’. Phone only.
‘Language’ — ‘English’, ‘German’, ‘French’, or ‘Italian’. The app re-renders immediately.
‘Region’ — drives date, time, and number formats.
‘Time zone’ — used for every time you see in the app.
‘First day of week’.
‘Region’, ‘Time zone’, and ‘First day of week’ are shared with the web — change them on either and the other follows. ‘Appearance’ is device-local. Slot times and assignment display are web-only settings; the mobile app has no calendar grid to apply them to.
The ‘Account’ section above holds ‘Profile’ (your sign-in email, read-only), ‘Organization’ (see How to switch between companies), ‘Notification settings’, and two phone-only toggles: ‘Sync shifts to calendar’ and ‘Require Face ID / passcode’.
For the full reference of every personal setting, see Personal settings.
Verify it worked#
