A statutory holiday is missing#
For: Admin You’ll need: Nothing.
A public holiday should be in your Company → Holidays list and isn’t. The auto-seeder runs forward only about 18 months, manually-edited rows are skipped on re-seed, and the list filter may simply be hiding the row.
Check four possibilities#
You’re looking too far ahead. Shiftavo auto-seeds statutory holidays roughly 18 months forward from today. A holiday two years out won’t be in the list yet — it’ll appear next time the seeder runs. If you need it sooner, add it manually with the ‘Create holiday’ button.
An admin edited it, then it disappeared from re-seed. Auto-seeded rows show ‘Auto’ in the ‘Source’ column. The first time someone edits one (changes the multiplier, splits to half-day, renames it), it converts to ‘Manual’ so the next re-seed doesn’t overwrite their changes. If a manual row was deleted, the re-seeder will not put it back automatically — re-create it manually, or delete the manual marker so it can be re-seeded.
The location’s region is wrong or unset. A country-level calendar can be very thin — Switzerland knows four holidays a year with no canton set. Open the location, check the ‘State/Province’ field, and correct it: saving a new region rebuilds that location’s ‘Auto’ holidays for the new one. See Choose a state or subdivision.
The list filter is hiding it. Check the chips under the toolbar on the holidays list — the properties there are ‘Name’, ‘Year’, ‘Location’, and ‘Source’, and a year or location chip can hide the row. Click ‘Clear’ to drop them all. The ‘Source’ column (‘Auto’ / ‘Manual’) tells you where each row came from.
Verify it worked#
The date appears on Company → Holidays with ‘Manual’ in its ‘Source’ column if you added it by hand, or ‘Auto’ if a re-seed picked it up — and a shift on that day now earns the holiday premium.
