How to change the calendar view#
For: Manager You’ll need: Nothing.
The calendar offers thirteen view modes — month, week, day, list, and roster variants. Switch any time from the toolbar; your choice is auto-saved per user.
Switch the view#
Open Planning → Calendar.
In the toolbar, open the view dropdown (next to the date navigator).
Choose a view from the list below.
The thirteen view modes#
Block views show shifts as time-positioned rectangles; list views show them as table rows; roster views group shifts into one row per person.
- Month grid view
Full month — every shift sits in its day cell. Best for overview planning.
- Week timeline view
Hour-by-hour grid for one week. Best for fine-grained time editing.
- Week blocks view
Week with full-day shift blocks (no hours axis). Best for headcount-style planning.
- Day timeline view
Hour-by-hour grid for one day. Best for tight intra-day planning.
- Day blocks view
One day with block layout instead of hour rows.
- Month list view
Every shift in the month as a sortable list.
- Week list view
Every shift in the week as a list.
- Day list view
Every shift on the day as a list.
- Roster day timeline
One day, one row per person, hourly grid.
- Roster day blocks
One day, one row per person, block layout.
- Roster week timeline
One week, one row per person, hourly grid.
- Roster week blocks
One week, one row per person, block layout.
- Roster month
Whole month, one row per person.
Verify it worked#
The calendar redraws in the chosen view, and the view name appears in the dropdown. The next time you open the page, the same view loads.
