How to switch between the light and dark theme#
For: Manager | Shift worker | Admin You’ll need: Nothing.
The web app comes in a light and a dark theme. The switch lives in your personal settings.
Switch it#
Open the account menu (top-right) and click ‘Settings’.
Find the ‘Appearance’ section — Switch between the light and dark theme.
Click ‘Toggle theme’.
The page changes immediately. There is no ‘Save’ — the theme is not part of the settings form, so switching it doesn’t touch anything else on the page.
It’s remembered per browser#
Your choice is stored in the browser you made it in, not on your account. Sign in on a different computer, or in a private window, and you start from the default again. That’s deliberate: a screen in a bright kitchen and a laptop at home don’t want the same theme.
On the phone#
The mobile app has its own ‘Appearance’ setting under Preferences, with ‘System’, ‘Light’, and ‘Dark’. It’s separate from the web choice and also per device. See How to update your personal settings.
Verify it worked#
Reload the page: it comes back in the theme you picked, without flashing the other one first.
