How to withdraw a time-off request#
For: Shift worker You’ll need: A ‘Pending’ or ‘Confirmed’ request you entered yourself, for leave that hasn’t started.
Changed your mind? Withdraw — cancel — your own time-off request as long as the leave hasn’t started, whether your manager has approved it yet or not. It’s marked ‘Withdrawn’, any hours it booked are given back, and the people who review your leave are notified.
Withdraw the request#
In the sidebar, open Planning → Availability and click ‘My availability’.
In the ‘Unavailable’ section, click the absence.
Click ‘Delete’ at the bottom of the form.
In the ‘Delete item?’ dialog, click ‘Delete item’.
Tap More → ‘Availability’, then the absence.
Tap ‘Delete’. The app warns you, ‘Your leave request will be withdrawn.’ Confirm with ‘Delete’ — it can’t be undone.
Note
You can’t withdraw leave that has already started: the web app answers ‘Ask your manager to revoke leave that has already started.’ An absence your manager entered for you is theirs to change — you can’t withdraw it or move its end date. In the app, ‘Delete’ only shows while the leave hasn’t started.
If an approved absence credited hours to your time account and that balance has since been paid out, withdrawing is refused as well — ‘Ending this absence would overdraw a time balance that has already been paid out.’ — and the absence stays as it was.
Verify it worked#
The absence is gone from the ‘Unavailable’ section — on ‘My availability’ in the browser, and under More → ‘Availability’ in the app.
