Automatic assignment

You’ve built the shifts for next month. Now somebody has to decide who works each one — around availability, rest rules, weekly hour caps, skills, and a fair spread of hours.

Automatic assignment does that pass for you. Pick a range, click Generate, and Shiftavo proposes a full staffing plan as ordinary draft assignments you can edit in the calendar like any other. It fills shifts that already exist; it never invents new ones.

Note

Automatic assignment is its own feature. It is part of the Plus and Pro plans: on Core the ‘Automatic assignment’ button is missing from the calendar toolbar. After a move to Core, the pages of earlier runs stay readable, and those runs can still be undone.
